Woman Arrested After Target Shoplifting Dispute

Police stop a woman outside a Target after store security reports a shoplifting incident. At first, she denies doing anything, but then says there are "a couple of spices" in her backpack.

She keeps reaching into her open backpack after officers tell her to stop. Police then handcuff her and search the bags. The video shows spices, wine bottles, gift cards, and other items inside, although it does not show which items came from Target. She says the wine was already hers.

A Target loss prevention employee later tells police that she passed the checkout area and used force when he tried to stop her. He claims she tackled or pushed him and grabbed a bag back. That part happened before the bodycam footage starts, so it is not shown. The woman denies touching him and says he touched her first.

An officer later tells her she is being arrested for robbery because of the reported use of force. Police call her husband, then take her to a holding facility where she is searched and processed. The video later says she was charged with petty theft and resisting without violence.
