Privacy Policy

Last updated:

This Privacy Policy explains what information KarenSwag collects when you visit karenswag.com, contact us, or submit a video for review; how that information is used; and the choices available to you.

Information we collect

Information you provide

When you use the contact form or submit a video for review, we collect your email address, the reason for contacting us, your message, and any links or other information you include in that message. Please do not submit sensitive personal information or information about another person that you are not authorized to share.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the site, our hosting and security services may process technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, requested page, referring page, date and time, and security or diagnostic information. We use this information to deliver the site, maintain reliability, prevent abuse, and investigate technical problems.

How we use information

We use information for the following purposes:

  • to provide, maintain, secure, and improve KarenSwag;
  • to respond to questions, removal requests, advertising enquiries, and other messages;
  • to review submitted videos and decide whether they are suitable for publication;
  • to detect spam, bots, fraud, and other misuse; and
  • to comply with legal obligations and protect legal rights.

Where European or UK data-protection law applies, we generally process this information because it is necessary for our legitimate interests in operating and securing the site, responding to messages, and reviewing voluntary submissions. We may also process information to take steps you request, comply with a legal obligation, or on the basis of consent where consent is required.

Contact messages and video submissions

After the contact form passes its anti-bot check, the submitted email address, contact reason, and message are stored in a private local log.

Contact records, including the local record, are normally retained for up to two years from submission. We may retain a record longer when reasonably necessary to resolve a dispute, comply with law, or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Service providers and third-party content

KarenSwag uses third parties to operate the site and display content. When your browser connects to one of these services, that provider may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser details, the page requesting the resource, and the date and time of the request.

  • Cloudflare provides network security and the Turnstile anti-bot check on the contact form. Turnstile processes signals including IP address, user-agent information, TLS characteristics, and the site requesting the check. See the Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Addendum.
  • A-ADS supplies advertising on individual video pages and may use cookies or similar technologies and process information such as IP addresses and device identifiers for advertising, measurement, fraud prevention, and service operation. See the A-ADS Privacy Policy.
  • YouTube videos are embedded using YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode. Loading or playing an embedded video still connects your browser to YouTube and may result in data processing by Google. See YouTube's information about embedded videos and the Google Privacy Policy.
  • TikTok videos may be embedded in stories. Loading an embed connects your browser to TikTok, which may process technical information and use cookies or similar technologies. See the TikTok Privacy Policy.
  • X, formerly Twitter, posts may be embedded in stories. Loading an embed connects your browser to X, which may process technical information and use cookies or similar technologies. See the X Privacy Policy.
  • bunny.net stores and delivers some images and video content. See the bunny.net Privacy & Data Policy.
  • Google Fonts and jsDelivr deliver fonts and software resources used by the site. See the Google Privacy Policy and jsDelivr Terms & Policies.

Cookies and similar technologies

Security, advertising, and embedded-content providers may use cookies, local storage, pixels, or similar technologies when their services load. These technologies can be used to provide security features, remember settings, measure activity, prevent fraud, or select and measure advertising. The providers listed above explain their individual practices and controls in their privacy policies.

You can restrict or delete cookies using your browser settings. Blocking cookies or third-party content may prevent advertisements, video players, the contact form, or other parts of the site from working correctly.

Sharing and international processing

We do not sell the email address or message you submit through the contact form. We disclose information to service providers when necessary for the purposes described above, when required by law, or when necessary to protect the site, our users, or legal rights.

Some providers operate or store information in countries outside your own, including the United States and Hong Kong. Privacy protections in those countries may differ from those in your country. More information about each provider's processing and transfer practices is available through the links above.

Data retention

Contact records are normally retained for up to two years. Technical and security logs are kept only for as long as reasonably necessary for site operation, security, troubleshooting, and legal compliance, subject to the retention settings and obligations of our hosting and security providers. Information may be deleted, anonymized, or retained longer when the law or a legal claim requires it.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal information; to restrict or object to certain processing; to withdraw consent; and to complain to your local data-protection authority. These rights can be subject to legal conditions and exceptions.

Requests are normally free. We may ask for information needed to verify your identity and locate the relevant records. Where the GDPR applies, we normally respond within one month, although the law permits an extension for complex or numerous requests.

California residents

If the California Consumer Privacy Act applies, California residents may have rights to know, delete, and correct personal information; to opt out of its sale or sharing; to limit certain uses of sensitive personal information; and not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising their rights. We will process applicable requests within the time required by law.

Children's privacy

KarenSwag is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through the site, contact us so that we can review and delete it where appropriate.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect personal information. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure, so please avoid including unnecessary confidential information in a submission.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, providers, or legal obligations change. The date at the top of this page identifies the latest revision.
